Invitation

Please note that ISBAB registration is only open to delegates who have been invited to the Symposium. If you are interested in attending but have not received an invitation, please request an invitation by email to isbab@ualberta.ca and the Organizing Committee will consider your request.

We invite you to give a presentation at the 11th International Symposium on Biocatalysis and Agricultural Biotechnology (11th ISBAB) which will be held in Banff, Alberta, Canada, from September 13 to 16, 2015, at the Banff Centre. Previous ISBAB Symposia were held in Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, the USA and Slovakia.

This by-invitation-only international Symposium will bring together key researchers and professionals from academia, government and industry to share research results, insights and perspectives in various facets of biocatalysis and biotechnology. The ISBAB is an excellent opportunity to network with colleagues and decision-makers in the biotechnology sector.

Topics will include biocatalysis, bioprocesses, biofuels, bioproducts, lipids in health and biotechnology, nanobiotechnology, nutraceuticals, plant biotechnology and genomics.

Keynote Speakers include Mee-Len Chye (University of Hong Kong), Ivo Feussner (Georg-August-University, Germany), Carlo Montemagno (University of Alberta, Canada), and Claudia Schmidt-Dannert (University of Minnesota, USA).

We anticipate having four concurrent sessions, but keynote presentations will be delivered to all delegates.  Our networking program will include an opening reception, excursion to Lake Louise and western-style BBQ with entertainment.

The early bird registration fee of $400 (Canadian) will include return bus transportation between Calgary International Airport and the Banff Centre along with most meals and networking events. Delegates are responsible for covering their own registration fee, accommodation and air travel expenses.

We look forward to your response to our invitation, and to the possibility of seeing you in Banff! Please respond as soon as possible to confirm your participation because we are limited to about 120 delegates.

With best wishes!
